Registration for the Certification Examination for Real Estate Surveyors Is Now Open!
Applications are being accepted from August 26 through September 4. Documents should be submitted via email to certification@tcj.gov.ge. Applicants will be informed about the examination date within 3 business days after the registration period ends.
The participation fee for the certification examination is GEL 480.
Application Form and Required Documents
- Application Form
- Copy of an ID card, passport, or driving licence
- CV/Resume
- Higher education certificate/diploma (if applicable)
- A document confirming at least 1 year of experience in performing cadastral works, or a document confirming completion of a preparatory qualification course for persons authorized to perform cadastral works
Note: A certified person who continuously engages in professional activities from the date of certification and whose activities are free from violations is entitled to apply to the certification body for recertification at least 2 months before the expiration of the certificate.
Qualification Requirements
- At least 18 years of age
- Legal capacity
- Registration as a resident in Georgia
- Knowledge of the Georgian language
- A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field of study (specializations: Engineering Geodesy and Geoinformatics; Geography; Mining and Geoengineering)
If the educational document submitted by an applicant indicates a field of study with a different title but an equivalent specialization, the applicant may demonstrate the equivalence of their education to the above-mentioned fields by submitting appropriate supporting documents.
Alternatively, the applicant may have:
- At least 1 year of experience in performing cadastral works; or
- Completed a preparatory qualification course for persons authorized to perform cadastral works.
Competency Requirements
- Knowledge of the legal norms regulating the registration of rights to immovable property and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice when preparing documents related to the registration of rights to immovable property
- Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geodesy and cartography and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice when performing cadastral works
- Knowledge of the theoretical foundations of geographic information systems (GIS) and the ability to apply this knowledge in practice when processing cadastral surveying/measurement data of immovable property
- Practical skills required for conducting cadastral works, including field use of high-precision geodetic instruments and methods, office processing of data, and preparation of relevant documents in the prescribed format
Documents Related to the Certification Process
The Training Center of Justice is the first public institution to obtain the right to certify real estate surveyors. The Center has received the relevant accreditation and has been positively assessed for compliance with the ISO/IEC 17024:2012/2014 standard for conformity assessment — General requirements for bodies certifying persons.
