Ministry of Justice of Georgia Initiates Public Lecture at Kutaisi International University

On the initiative of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia and with the involvement of the LEPL Justice Training Center of Georgia, a public lecture on the rights of persons with disabilities was held at Kutaisi International University (KIU).

The primary objective of the informational meeting was to raise public awareness about the legal status and rights of persons with disabilities and to introduce students to relevant legal issues and contemporary developments in this field.

The event was attended by Merab Turava, Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia, as well as representatives of the Ministry’s Analytical Department, the justice system, and Kutaisi International University.

The lecture was delivered by:

  • Mariko Kobakhidze – Doctor of Law and staff member of the Analytical Department of the Ministry of Justice of Georgia;
  • Nino Kashakashvili – Head of the Legal Training Department at the Justice Training Center.

The Ministry of Justice of Georgia and the Justice Training Center plan to continue organizing similar educational activities in the future, as promoting legal culture and raising legal awareness among young people remains one of the institution’s key priorities.
